PRIVACY POLICY

GUNDUA SPORTS is a talent discovery platform connecting African athletes with scouts, coaches, clubs, and academies. This policy explains what personal information we collect through gunduasports.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language because the people who use this platform deserve to understand it.

1. What we collect

When you register or contact us, we collect only what you choose to submit:

Athletes — name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country, age, playing position, dominant foot, current club or team, a link to your highlight clip, and social media handle.
Scouts, coaches, and clubs — name, email, phone, organisation, countries covered, sports, experience, age groups targeted, and LinkedIn profile.
Parents/guardians — your contact details and the name and age of the athlete you are registering.
Contact form — your name, email, enquiry type, and message.

We do not collect payment information — registration is free. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your light/dark display preference.

2. How we use it

To create and maintain your profile in our talent database.
To connect athletes with verified scouts, clubs, coaches, and event opportunities — this is the entire purpose of the platform.
To contact you about your registration, trials, events, and platform updates.
To respond to enquiries you send us.

We do not sell your personal information. We share athlete profiles only with scouts, clubs, and partners operating within the GUNDUA network, and only in connection with genuine talent identification and development activity.

3. Children and young athletes

The platform is open to athletes aged 13 and over. Athletes under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian to register, and we require this to be confirmed during registration. Parents and guardians may register on behalf of younger athletes and manage that profile.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has registered without your consent, contact us at info@gunduasports.com and we will remove the profile promptly.

4. Where your data lives

Registration data is stored securely with Supabase, our database provider, on infrastructure hosted in the cloud. Access is restricted, and profile data is not publicly readable — submitting the form writes your data to our database, but no one can browse it through the website.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your profile for as long as you remain part of the GUNDUA network. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time (see below), and we will remove it within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to:

show you the personal information we hold about you;
correct information that is wrong or out of date;
delete your profile and personal information entirely;
stop contacting you.

To exercise any of these, email info@gunduasports.com from the address you registered with. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data protection rights (such as the EU/UK GDPR or an African data protection law such as Nigeria's NDPA, Kenya's DPA, or South Africa's POPIA), we will honour those rights as they apply to you.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how athlete data is used will be communicated to registered users by email.
